Situated on 2.5 acres of landscaped grounds, the Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa has a very exotic, tropical island vibe to it. In fact, grab a spot of sandy beach, close your eyes and you can almost imagine hearing the Skipper and Gilligan fighting over that last piece of Coconut Cream pie! The lagoon setting borders the banks of the Nerang River with a boardwalk overlooking the river and adjacent parkland.
Follow the river boardwalk out to the neighbouring back streets and you will come across across "Bumbles" cafe restaurant opposite the river at Budds Beach. This is a favourite haunt for locals and is extremely popular for Saturday and Sunday breakfast. There is also a gift shop next door with a very "Ralph Laurent meets the beach" theme.
